Pastel Box with Foam pads
|
| • Pastel Box contains high quality foam pads, custom dye-cut to hold the maximum number of pastels. Each pocket is capable of adjusting to virtually any pastel thickness and shape, or holding more than one pastel stick per pocket. |
| • With 280 pastel pockets, the pads have a capacity for more than 300 pastel sticks, depending on sizes, brands, and number of sticks per pocket. |
| • Pastels are automatically cleaned with each insertion and removal. |
| • Foam pad in lid allows extra protection and safe storage. |
| • Adjustable hinge allows lid to serve as optional table top. |
| • Pastel Box attaches securely and easily to the Foldable Board™ by sliding into special aluminum latches. |
| • Pastel Box is constructed of high quality hardwood, joined with a piano hinge and metal latches, and completed with a handle. |

Auxiliary Tray
|
• This lightweight aluminum 5” x 14” Auxiliary Tray slides easily under the loaded Pastel Box to function as a small table top when the Pastel Box lid is fully opened down. The artist has the option of using this unique tray, or the larger 14” x 14” foam-lined lid as a table top.
• The tray fits beneath foam of lid when not in use.
• The tray is particularly helpful in tight painting situations. |

Foldable Board™
|
| • Foldable Board™ measures 22” x 32” unfolded, and 22” x 16” folded. |
| • It converts from a horizontal to a vertical configuration in moments, while keeping the Pastel Box in same orientation to the artist. |
| • Two 3/4” aluminum lips are located along each length to catch pastel dust in either the horizontal or the vertical configuration. |
| • Two 1 3/8” x 12” aluminum spring-loaded clamps hold painting surfaces up to 14” x 18”. Ideal pastel paper size is 12” x 18” but even an 18” x 24” pastel board can be used with no additional attachments. |
| • Foldable Board™ is made of wood-grained veneered MDF, and all components are strong, yet lightweight aluminum. |
| • Sliding aluminum stabilizers secured by knobs, keep the board ridgid. |
| • Foldable Board™ can be carried from place to place by the convenient cut-out handle while Pastel Box is secured in place and painting is still in process. |
| • By removing the Pastel Box and folding the Board, both pieces, complete with painting and materials, can also be safely carried in the Carrying Case. |
| • The folded Board and Pastel Box pack into a medium-sized suitcase for travel, or as an airplane carry-on in the 17” x 22” x 3" Carrying Case. (Check with your airline about any carry-on restrictions.) |

Carrying Case

• Dimensions of the Carrying Case are 17” x 22,” with a 3” gusset made of heavy-duty black polypropylene.
• It perfectly accommodates the Pastel Box and Foldable Board™.
• An interior side pocket is handy for paper or small accessories.
• Two hand grips and a shoulder strap make for easy handling.
• The Carrying Case can be used as a carry-on at many airlines. |

Professional Tripod/Easel
|
• The professional Tripod Easel is ideally suited for supporting and securing Mike Mahon’s Pastel Porter™ both in the studio and on outdoor locations.
• It is made of anodized aluminum, weighing only 3.5 lbs.
• The ball and socket camera head snaps over the Foldable Board™ to secure the Pastel Porter™ in place for horizontal paintings.
• For vertical paintings, the easy-lok holder, made also to hold a stretched canvas, safely secures the Foldable Board™.
• A built-in handle at the top of the center column makes for easy carrying.
• The center column has rack and pinion movement for easy height adjustments.
• The column has a handy hook for attaching a stabilizing weight. The extra weight is highly recommended at all times, but especially when working on unstable surfaces or in windy locations. (i.e., a lightweight bag filled with rocks on location, or gallon jug of water)
• A canvas carrying bag comes with an extra pocket to hold accessories.
• Each of the three legs is independently adjustable.
• Maximum height is 68” and minimum height is 25”
• Virtually all standard artist’s umbrellas can be mounted on the Tripod Easel.
• It is “the most advanced portable aluminum easel ever made,” with features no other easel has! |

Jumbo Dual-Sided Pastel Box
(Not included in Complete Studio)
|

| • A 14.75”x14.75”x3.25” box made of high quality hard wood construction, two latches, handle and a piano hinge. |
| • The Jumbo Box contains foam pads with 540 pastel pockets, which can hold more than 600 pastel sticks in an organized, compact selection that rivals any studio pastel box, let alone a portable plein air pastel box! It can hold two hard pastels per slot if desired. Half sticks or smaller allow a maximum number of pastels and a reduced weight. |

• When the box is closed a separate thin sheet of foam separates the top and bottom sections of the box. |
|
• While NOT recommended to mount onto the Foldable Board™, the Jumbo Pastel Box can be used in conjunction with Mike Mahon’s Pastel Porter™ or in the studio. |
|
|
• Pastels are automatically cleaned each time they are inserted or removed from the individual foam pockets.
|
| • As with Mike Mahon’s Pastel Porter™, extra table space is not required. Since pastels that are in use can be half-way inserted back into pockets, the artist can keep track of the particular palette of colors being used. |
